Game Developer for a mobile games startup

About the Role

Our client, an innovative mobile games startup based in Stockholm, is on the lookout for a Game Developer with a passion for crafting engaging and challenging match-3 mobile games.

Whether you have a couple of years of experience as a game developer or have just completed your game developer education, we’d love to hear from you!

As a game developer, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team where you will have an impact on gameplay experience ensuring we can deliver outstanding games to our client’s player community. You will work in an environment that encourages you to embrace creativity and contribute to the team with your gameplay skills and personal perspectives. 

• Collaborate on game development and programming to create mobile games within a small, multidisciplinary team.
• Develop and implement UI and gameplay features.
• Work closely with your Design, Art, and Production teammates.
• Identify and define technical solutions for gameplay features based on design documentation and workflow tools.

Requirements:

• Prior experience with game development or a newly finished education.
• An understanding and passion for casual mobile games.
• Experience working with Unity or similar game engines.
• Engineering experience, including skills in refactoring, optimization, debugging, and testing.
• An ability to take the players’ perspective.
• Having hands-on experience in gameplay programming, launching and supporting at least one mobile game on both iOS and Android platforms, is considered a strong advantage.

The team is based in central Stockholm, and they work on-site five days a week.
