About the Role

Join our newly formed AI team as a Quantitative Analyst, and play a pivotal role in extending EQT’s leadership in AI-driven VC. Our systems help us discover the most ambitious entrepreneurs earlier, and support them in solving the world’s most pressing problems by harnessing the full potential of EQT’s global network and technology initiatives. The startup landscape moves faster than any other industry, and our AI team thrives on speed and rapid iteration to solve problems effectively.

As a Quantitative Analyst, you’ll uncover insights from vast sets of public, commercial and proprietary data, build a deep understanding of new markets and emerging technologies, and build models that automate key parts of our investment process. You’ll collaborate with all investment teams at EQT Ventures, ensuring insights drive action and empowering us to make quicker, data-driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing great investment opportunities by training algorithms and using innovative analysis on a mix of public, commercial and proprietary data, building systems to make this process repeatable and scalable.
• Develop predictive models that quantify market signals, company traction metrics, and community sentiment to identify startups with outlier founders working on breakthrough technology.
• Continually assess and integrate state-of-the-art technology, tools and practices, keeping our team at the forefront of the industry and maintaining EQT’s competitive edge.
• Collaborate with Investors, Analysts and Operational Support at EQT Ventures – assessing internal EQT data sources as well as external data troves, making sure we have the right insights at the right time.
• Build internal “special projects” where algorithms, technology and data drive portfolio and team efficiency, performance and productivity.
